“Success”

What do you think when you hear the word success? For some, it’s a vision of the future. It’s a positive thing. It’s full of bright lights and smiles. Something that’s inevitable. They will succeed, just not yet. And that’s OK.

For others it’s negative. Some don’t jive with the word success. It feels loaded against them. They don’t recognise or relate to the term. They’re just living. Surviving. They succeed every day by getting to the end of it.

I don’t relate to the term. It’s just an abstract concept, something written on Twitter and said in every other sentence by motivational speakers.

For me, the journey is success. Every day I wake up and tick off the things I want to do I’ve succeeded. I don’t actively pursue it.

I just get up and get to work.
